This site was chosen as the location for this mural for a number of reasons. One reason this site was selected was that the Chestnut branch connects to the Delaware River, which is geologically significant to Glassboro. Additionally, this location is not a prominent or noticeable site, similar to how geology is present in most people's lives. Geology may not always be at the forefront but it plays an important role in day to day life. This mural will not be a particularly easy mural to view prior to being found. The idea is that much of the geologic influence over Glassboro takes some digging to find, so the mural will take a keen eye to notice. This mural will be used by the community to spark interest in an aspect of Glassboro's history that is not widely thought about. The dimensions of the mural are about 6 by 12 feet. At 30$ per square foot , the total price for this mural would be estimated at $2,160. Maintenance that would need to be performed on the mural is seasonal clearing of vegetation and debris built up by the stream on the mural.
