This mural, depicting the visual transformation of downtown Glassboro, will be located on the ground of the Town Square itself. Specifically, along the sidewalk that was once a road. This ground has undergone a complete transformation, and I want people to know exactly where they are standing. Visitors and students alike have no idea what the area looked like before their arrival, therefore the history and transformation of the area is lost in translation. This mural changes that. Having the mural on the sidewalk is a permanent reminder that this area has changed tremendously both physically and culturally. It is a visual reminder that Glassboro's history is not lost, the positives are still preserved, but the negatives being left in the past. It is time for a better future, and it begins in Downtown Glassboro, the perfect place for a mural.
